ACR Fellows - Indiana Radiological Society

One of the highest honors the American College of Radiology can bestow on a member in good standing is recognition as a Fellow of the American College of Radiology. ACR Fellows demonstrate a history of service to the College, organized radiology, teaching, and/or research. Only 15 percent of current ACR members have been awarded this honor.

FACR is awarded to diagnostic radiologists, radiation oncologists, interventional radiologists, medical physicists, and nuclear medicine physicians at the convocation ceremony held during the ACR Annual Meeting each year in Washington, DC.

The honor of Fellow of the American College of Radiology is conferred on members who have been approved and elected by the ACR Board of Chancellors.

Members are encouraged to submit an application or to nominate fellow members. Unlike other specialty societies, to become a Fellow of the ACR, you must complete at least 10 years of membership and show achievements in one or more of three specific domains- service/leadership in the ACR specifically or radiology in general, teaching, and research.
