Indiana University Radiology Summer Research Program for Underrepresented in Medicine Medical Students
A diverse workforce is the future of radiology and imaging sciences. As a diversity pipeline, the IRS supports the Indiana University Radiology and Imaging Sciences Summer Research Program for Underrepresented in Medicine Medical Students. This program sponsors two rising MS2 medical students each summer to participate in a 10-week summer radiology and imaging sciences research program in Indianapolis, working with Indiana University faculty. There is a living expense stipend, housing on the IU Indianapolis campus is provided, and multiple research seminars, volunteer and shadowing experiences in radiology are available for interested students. This is a great way to obtain early career exposure to radiology and imaging sciences.

Together with the Indiana University Department of Radiology the IRS helps to provide the scholarships that allow 2 students to participate in the program free of charge each summer.
